Re: “The Village Porch Bar & Bistro

World Shift
Having lived in small town Rochester for my whole life I must say that walking into the Porch is an experience like no other. The first bit of intrigue comes form the fact that the restaurant is located in a renovated Victorian building that has a beautiful seating area that utilizes the front Porch of the building. Upon stepping inside, one feels like they have teleported into the city. The bar area features a trendy bar top make of class that has inlaid LEDs to illuminate it. My favorite part is the owners Connie and Dean. They are two great people who really know how to please a crowd. Being a local, entering the Porch feels like walking into a friends house. You are immediately welcomed by name and slip into an easy conversation about the town and all the local going-ons. Moving on to the food, words can hardly be enough. At first I was a little tentative to see such a gourmet menu being offered up in our small town, but I have seen it staring to find its niche. With their constantly changing menu, its not hard to please everyone. Overall I would recommend this fantastic little place to any passing through, or willing to make the trip to Rochester. I promise you won't be disappointed. Food: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service: 5
