Re: “Warren Zevon's Massive Book Collection Is for Sale

Hi linnilue. Thanks for your question.

As Mary Collins commented, the majority of the books are in the process of being catalogued for online sale. There is a selection of books on the shelves at the barn. But the best way to peruse the collection is to email Mary for the catalog: mary@shinecommunications.org

Re: “Soundbites: Mister Disaster

Hi, Maura. This is Dan Bolles, Asst. Arts Editor at 7D.

Soundbites is a music column. A column, by definition, is a forum in which writers express opinions. In fact, the tagline on Soundbites reads "News and views on the local music scene," which indicates that Soundbites represents Jordan's take on issues relevant to the local scene.

Re: “Soundbites: Kyle Gagnon Gets Weird

Hi Egmatic. Thanks for commenting.

While Soundbites is technically a music column, I do consider it an appropriate outlet for comedy coverage as well. Though labeled "Music," a primary focus of the section is what's happening in area nightclubs — you'll notice the listings surrounding the column are labeled "Clubs." More than ever, that includes comedy.

I strongly disagree that comedy in Burlington is a fad. I think the standing-room-only crowd at the GMCF's opening showcase last night (on a Wednesday, no less) would, too. I would urge you to venture out to one of the GMCF shows this weekend — Kyle's in particular. I think you'd be surprised at just how funny these folks are. They're talented artists who work hard and deserve recognition.

Also, I did write a mini-Soundbites for the blog that deals exclusively with music: http://www.sevendaysvt.com/LiveCulture/arc…

Re: “The Burlington Bread Boys, Pushing Rope

Apologies for the goof, Max. It's been corrected here and we'll have a correction in print in next week's Soundbites column.
