Re: “Bus Fair? CCTA Drivers Get Ready to Strike

CCTA management has been making life difficult for their drivers for a very long time - but it has recently gotten much worse. Management has created an atmosphere of fear for the people who drive our buses through harassment and arbitrary discipline. The way management is insisting on scheduling drivers working hours is making driver fatigue worse and destroying any real possibility of family time. All of this, plus their bargaining demands make it clear that they are deliberately provoking a strike. It's really important that riders and the general public demand that CCTA management negotiate a fair and humane contract with the drivers that meets the public interest and avoids a difficult strike. If management continues on its collision course, we need to stand with the drivers during a very difficult time for all of us.
