Re: “Vermont Schools Prepare for More Kneeling Athletes

"And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free...

It's the free part that is important. Freedom is what separates us from other not so nice countries and can't defend themselves from antagonists because they know they are fundamentally wrong. We are wrong when it comes to treating everyone fairly. Is every person that thinks this is wrong a racist. I fought so you could do what you want within the law. That is what all veterans fought for.

Re: “Walters: State Panel Provides Few Answers for Water Cleanup

Seems they are looking at future funding with as little overhead as possible. I'm all in favor of that as long as we truly maintain full speed ahead.

Re: “Massachusetts to Hire a Cannabis Inspector

These guys are out of their minds. Anyone that knows enough to do this job isn't going to settle for a pion position paying 40k in a state where 40k won't get you a one bedroom closet. What they are looking for is a very competent person, trained botanist, plant pathologist, who is qualified. What they are going to get is a flunky who will have too much on his plate to do an adequate job.

Re: “Burlington Bike Path Construction to Begin as Summer Season Starts

It would be nice to see the 3' spikes (now seen at Dorset/Williston Rd) to delineate the riding lane from the traffic lane so both parties understood where they belonged. As a rider, it irks me to see fellow cyclists oblivious to traffic and their own safety. I am unsure if it is arrogance or just carried away in the moment but defined traffic lanes would help everyone till the construction is complete. No one will complain when the path is renewed. It is a phenomenal asset, in my mind taking the place of the beltway for the folks that have access, and there are many of them.

Re: “South Burlington Student's Post on 'White Fragility' Goes Viral

Great job Isaiah. Using your brain, as you point out is so important.

Re: “Lisman Buys Ads Promoting Scott's Health Insurance Proposal

Susan, they didn't almost bring down the financial system, they were successful and should be in jail for it. And now these guys are strutting around telling us how to run our lives using our money!!
The only reason we survived is because you and I bailed them out, no other reason, and if you saw the devastation around the world you would know this wasn't confined to our country. This had the potential to be much more devastating than the Great Depression.

Re: “Walters: Housing Deal Angers Environmental Groups

This is/was a very shortsighted poorly thought out solution for our lake and our housing. Time to fire these yokels!
