Re: “'Girl in the Other Room'

The Girl in the other room is a moving story about a real life situation with real life obstacles. Alzheimer’s steal’s the chance for a daughter to get answers to questions she doesn’t even know she has until it is too late. Guilt and regret are the murky waters Alora (a moving performance by Wendy Maquera) finds herself wading through.
The Music throughout the entire performance is both composed and played by a local Artist, Carol Ann Jones, and adds a very real and touching quality to the story.
Throughout the performance I was moved to tears (a few times), found myself laughing, holding my breath, and even thinking about my own regrets and guilt.
The elephant in the room is of course Alzheimer’s and how it steals the opportunity to get the resolve you so desperately need, and the affect’s it has on all connected to those afflicted by this horrific disease.
Sarah Jo Willey’s brilliant Story is both entertaining and educational. She reminds us to seize the moment to chase away your regrets, after all, regrets are not for the living~
Excellent performance by all!!! Proceeds of this performance go to the Alzheimer’s research fund! I am proud to have contributed to this cause! Let’s win this fight!
