Re: “Queen City Acres Makes a Go of Urban Farming

Once again, Vermonters really know how to contribute wonderful ideas into real ones. Congratulations. May this idea spread throughout our city.

Re: “Advocate: Transient's Latest Arrest Exposes Holes in Social Safety Net

We a community based system like Adam Roof
This one is off the wall and totally wrong:
"One, sponsored by Republican Kurt Wright (Ward-4) and backed by Burlington Police Chief Brandon del Pozo, would create criminal penalties for those who repeatedly commit "quality of life" offenses such as open container violations and urinating in public. "
I am shocked that our chief of police would back this.
We need help for the mentally ill, not criminal charges and prison.

Re: “Fight in Burlington's City Hall Park Ends in Stabbing

Why was this guy not locked up and getting treatment. Why was he allowed on the streets? Where are the Howard Center Street People.

Better lighting and a cleaned up park, with lots of benches for people to sit on, and one with no sharp edges, one that is a calming place for people to enter, would really help.

Re: “Film Tour Remembers NEK Novelist Howard Frank Mosher

I am so excited to learn about this tour. Thank you Jay Craven and VPR. Also, I totally support any group that will sponsor putting more of Howard's books and Jay's movies permanently into our Vermont school programs

Re: “Thin Ice Breaks, and a Game Warden Launches a Dangerous Rescue

It is a very sad story with many heroes. I hope that all of you involved will write more about what you and others did so we can get the rest of the story. And that 7 Days will do a follow up with them.

Re: “Burlington Activist to Challenge Council President Knodell

A vote for Genese is a vote FOR greater participatory democracy,
She will listen to you, and put everyones ideas to work.
She has spent decades going before city hall to speak out about various things. So she understands how city hall works. Knows all of the members of various boards.
She voted NO for the 14 story mall, just like the entire wards 2/3 did.
Now she is willing to give back to city hall and put her incredibly creative energy to work as a city councilor. VOTE YES FOR GENESE GRILL. She is just the very best.!
