I too, find it odd that no one (media or politicians) are talking about the toxic pollution at IBM BTV and the on-going cleanup that will take decades if not hundreds of years - nasty, nasty chemicals spills. I have posted these same concerns, including Nancy Bazilchuk's article from 1998 on my FB page since last winter. I've contacted the Vermont congressional delegation re; the toxic cleanup as well as media (including Paul Heinz) - not to mention VPIRG. No one seems to be interested in talking about this. I've been employed at IBM for nearly 30 years, I don't want to lose my job but more importantly, I want the toxic cleanup and containment efforts to continue.

John Goetz is on the mark, it's nice to have Trusted foundry status but DoD product is a miniscule component of the overall product portfolio. Not enough DoD work to sustain BTV.
