Re: “More Homes Are Inside High-Decibel Areas on New F-35 Sound Maps

The noise report seems to say that computer modeling and not actual noise monitoring in neighborhoods was used. I don't think that's giving an accurate picture. In my neighborhood there are times we have to stop talking and pause television while takeoffs happen.

Re: “Piss Poor: Burlington Mulls Proposals for More Public Bathrooms

Burlington could follow the lead of San Francisco and install these, but they're very expensive.…

Re: “'Mister Chris and Friends,' Slow TV for Children on Vermont PBS

Certainly not my cup of tea, but I can see how kids would be entertained and taught science, nature, and how to deal with feelings. I'm not familiar with children's television (hey, I'm 61!). But, I think that anything that concentrates on the kids instead of trying to sell them something is a good thing.

But make sure you see the actual FDA letter of approval before starting therapy. Not every treatment has FDA approval.

Re: “To Restart Construction, Burlington Amends CityPlace Agreement

From April 2017…

"The deal with Rouse is expected to close within the coming weeks, Sinex said, after nearly six months of negotiations. As co-owners, Devonwood Investors and Rouse will combine to finance 30 to 40 percent of the project, Sinex said. A construction lender will finance the remaining 60 to 70 percent of the project a "pretty typical" arrangement for this kind of development, he said. The project is estimated to cost somewhere between $225 and $230 million.

"Sinex has narrowed the field to two possible lenders and expects to announce that deal within the next month. "I'm highly confident," he said."

Re: “All Eyes on Eva [SIV522]

I had the surgery done in 2008 on both eyes, a week apart. When the bandages came off for the first eye the day after, I cried -- I saw textures and detail that I'd not seen in years. I tell everyone not to put it off. I'm still seeing better ten years after. I did need a procedure to remove cloudiness later, but it was a simple laser procedure.
