I used to go to 5-6 Burlington markets throughout the summer. This year, I chose to visit smaller markets instead that provided convenient parking and didn't force patrons through mud bogs or dust storms. Apparently I'm not alone, if sales are down between 20-35%.
I don't plan to return again until there's a better parking situation, so I guess next year is out too.
Holy linkspam, Batman!
Not shocked Annette Smith is fighting against the latest version of chemtrails.
It's time to eminent domain this property and return it to the people of Burlington. Reconnect the streets, build a nice park, and put a plaque "In Memoriam of the giant pit and Miro's Political Career"
Good riddance to another "Just say no" idealist whose head in the sand mentality has kept our state from progressing.
I'm shocked that another judge has found against yet another meaningless Vallee lawsuit. Shocked.
I smell a puff piece...
The move to Pine Street will be devastating for the vendors that are able to make the move, let alone the vendors for which there wasn't space, due to the diminished walk-by/convenience crowds. There aren't people walking down Pine St just for the heck of it.
There's less than 3 weeks to go and they haven't planned out a shuttle? It ain't gonna happen at this point.
And hoping to draw from surrounding neighborhoods? It's smack-dab in the middle of an industrial area!
Re: “CityPlace Burlington Developers Countersue Project Opponents”
Seriously, screw these New York-based Brookfield developers. Regardless of your view of the new mall, this is a low blow and just a squirrelly attempt to get out of paying what they already promised. Assholes.
