Re: “Prohibition Pig

We have tried this place twice and both times we were incredibly disappointed.... The first time we went for food... everything was bland and the portion sizes were remarkably small. The second time we went to check out the beers and the bar... We had been warned by many friends that live in Waterbury, to stay away from here...because of the prices and the paltry draft beer "portion" sizes. What a sad eye opener! My Waterbury friends were all correct... Prohibition Pig is leading the charge amongst northwest Vermont brewpubs, to reclassify draft beer as a specialty, gourmet, sipping beverage for the wealthy. They would have you believe that if they serve draft beer in very tiny portion sizes and charge astronomically high prices - then you are drinking liquid gold.. The problem is, most of their draft beers are available at dozens of other places for half or less (price). This bar (it is not a real brewpub) is just flypaper for the uneducated skiers and tourists that are passing through on their way south. I advise all Vermonters to steer wide of this place and their predatory pricing (as most Waterbury residents do). This bar is trying to create a price structure that is truly ridiculous.
