Re: “Yangser Dorjee’s Himalaya Restaurant

Himalaya is a great new lunch spot for the downtown crowd. It is spacious with views of the water (if you look beyond the old warehouse-type buildings), and there is plenty of seating to go around. I had a combination of 6 momo, two of each variety (beef, chicken, and vegetarian). They were just the right mix of savory and spicy, and the red sauce that accompanied them added a wonderful zing. The service was fast and attentive, and it was easy to get in and out within an hour and get back to the office (although I'm sure a more leisurely meal would have been possible). To sum up: 5 stars!

Probate judges should be appointed and side judges shouldn't exist.

Re: “Meet the 14-Year-Old Running for Vermont Governor

"Yeah, that's definitely something to consider," Sonneborn mused. "I would have to look more into that ... It's a bridge we'll cross when we get there." Ethan is already nailing perfect politician answers to tough questions!

Re: “Three State's Attorneys Face Scrutiny Ahead of Tough Primaries

"Judges impose sentences, not state's attorneys," Illuzzi responded, contending that Davis' criticism "shows a lack of understanding of how the system works."

Illuzzi manages to be patronizing and also miss the point in the same quote. Illuzzi's recommendation of "18 months to 15 years behind bars" is such a crazy broad range that it's tantamount to not making a recommendation at all. And it endorses as a possibility an incredibly low sentence (18 months) for the conduct at issue.

Re: “Some Vermont Towns Just Say No to Cannabis Legalization Parties

"But he said he will hire plainclothes security officers to throw out anyone caught dealing marijuana, which will remain illegal." Great use of police resources there Chief - I'm sleeping more soundly tonight knowing you're prioritizing the most heinous of criminal acts!

"That means drivers suspected of being impaired must be taken back to a police station or hospital to be evaluated by a drug recognition expert." ...or just do a field sobriety test.

Re: “Walters: Vermont House Fails to Override Scott's Budget Veto

Why isn't anyone asking each and every Republican who is voting for these budgets but then voting to sustain the veto why their voting record is not inconsistent?
