Re: “Champlain College President Makes a Quick Exit

Champlain's numbers fluctuate from year to year. A few years ago, they were admitting more students every year as the school's reputation began to grow. However, they had run out of room to house the growing class sizes and started accepting less students because less students were declining their acceptance offers. Champlain is not supposed to grow much past 2,000 students because of a deal they have with the city of Burlington. So if the school is having financial troubles, it's not because of declining enrollment like a lot of other private schools in the state.
