Re: “Volunteers Fear Respite House Is Trading Hominess for Solvency

This is exactly what happens under a healthcare for profit system. The greed, absolute in nature, of the few fat cats that drive to profit from sickness, illness and the suffering of others are completely and irrevocably incapable of understanding the care that is provided at McClure Miller. Death with dignity and compassion are terms that elude their sociopathic behavior in the monomaniacal pursuit of stuffing their wallets and 401(k)'s. Shame on them all. Sharon Keegan was, in essence, the heart of McClure Miller. The heartbeat has now been replaced by the sound of a cash register, and patients have been reduced to nothing more than a commodity.
