I am disturbed far more by the votes of Leahy and Shumlin than Dean and Gosh. Leahy and Shumlin were elected by the people of Vermont to be their representatives. Vermont has spoken with crystal clarity regarding its choice of U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders to be the Democratic candidates. In my view, Leahy and Shumlin should both be casting their superdelegate votes on behalf of the people of Vermont, not on behalf of politicians they themselves favor due to prior commitments of some kind. Shumlin's case is particularly egregious, since he campaigned for Hillary in Iowa and is clearly lobbying for a place in an HRC administration.
Add the recent loss of Tanglewoods in Waterbury to the list, after 25 years. A very well-loved restaurant in the community -- we were terribly sad to see it go. Great food, reasonably priced, in a warm old rustic barn in an out-of the-way but easy to get to location. Owners Carl and Diane Huber said" "We are ready to pursue a new chapter in our lives so we can spend more time enjoying family and friends." The building sold at auction a week ago. Hopefully it will return as another great restaurant. Thanks for so many great years, Carl and Diane.
Re: “Health Officials Want Vermonters to Wear Cloth Masks Out in Public”
Totally agree that people should be wearing them, but how can Vermont REQUIRE that people wear face masks if there aren't any available? PS -- my wife has already made over 50 of them for a local nursing home. Even nursing homes can't get them, so how can average folks?
