One thing Mark has done throughout his decades as a musician is support other beginning musicians. When I met him, I was one of those, and he urged me to sing, as I know he has done with many others. He made it clear that if you have a gift, you need to think of how to use it to better the grim old world out there. I'm happy to say, with Mark's help, I was able to do that for many years.
