I owned property next door to a residence owned by Wygmans in downtown Burlington, for years. His place was an eyesore. At one point, a dilapidated garage in his back yard fell down and while the bulk of the structure was removed, it wasnt excavated in its entirety. It was an unsightly heap of rotten wood, broken glass, rusty nails and metal, with weeds and seedlings growing around it. I sent several emails asking him to clean it up. Wygmans wasnt a reasonable neighbor and had no concern for how his property affected us. Out of curiosity, I drove by his Burlington property this morning; there isnt a working screen or window on the front porch and the front lawn hasnt seen a mower this year. I guess because the property isnt located in Charlotte Wygmans feels that he doesnt have to be respectful to the neighbors.
