Vermont hands out "benefits" for everyone in this state EXCEPT the taxpayers. We're paying higher prices for education, even with declining school population. Taxpayers are getting ANOTHER property tax hike. Gas prices in this state are $.40 a gallon HIGHER than other New England states. Now we're aiding addictions in prison. Why don't we just pay for chemo and radiation for those with cancer? An illness is an illness....

Here's part of the problem that I'm disappointed no one else has picked up on. A $9,000 catering bill for a fundraiser? You're kidding, right? That is NOT acceptable; which makes you wonder what other monies are being squandered at taxpayer expense....

The cartoon was intended to make people think? You actually bought that? Doesn't seem to have worked, did it, judging from the "firestorm of criticism"? That's the most inappropriate article I have ever seen, NOT apropos. Apparently you can't let these lives heal and the dead be mourned before you defend this trash article to make a political point.... Heartless.
