With its sprawling hills and steep mountains The Girl of the Golden West was the first "spaghetti western" in Opera's history. A revolver-wielding sheriff, a group of homesick Gold Rush miners, desperate bandits and a girl with a pure heart come together in one of Puccini's greatest works for a production that is full of life! An exuberant symphony "of the great frontier" filled with laughter and tears. The sumptuous music of Puccini transports us into the heart of a saloon where passions, but also humanity, brotherhood and compassion triumph.
