Re: “Burlington Police Will Investigate Claims of Abuse at St. Joseph's Orphanage

Haunted place. Who would want a room there now-new name or not. A former orphanage where children were abused and preyed upon hardly makes for a nice re-purposed building for any purpose.

Re: “Obituary: Eric Woodman Rozendaal, 1967-2018

So heartbroken hearing this news. Words can't convey well enough our love and condolences to Eric's family. I had the good fortune of sitting next to Eric last year at Tuttle Middle School to talk to the students about the cross-cultural experiences of the Peace Corps. Eric is one of the few PC volunteers that I have known who returned to his home landscape and applied what he learned, brought back a lot of wisdom and ability, and maintained close contact, still spoke the language he learned, was passionate about the experience as it shaped his path and he knew it and he was there, taking time off from his farm, to encourage the middle school students to embrace the world, to be intellectually curious, to go out and learn about other people in the world because you will find common humanity, and to expect surprises. He was a good guy with a big heart and our community is better because of his life here. Love and peace and healing to you all, dear friends.

Re: “South Burlington Motel Residents Worry About Its Planned Demolition

Does SB need another gas station?! Why not another CVS? This community needs charm and culture, not more retail schlock.

Re: “On the Brink: Burlington Development Pushes Boundaries on Lakeview Terrace

Lake is dead. Protection of view is a thing of the lesser past. All the locals with the privilege to wreck the place.

Re: “As Scott Signs Historic Vermont Gun Laws, Protesters Call Him a ‘Traitor’

My respect for Gov. Scott just went way way up. A coward does not do what he just did/. How about a brave and community-concerned citizen. A leader doing the right thing. Thank you Gov. Scott. Very proud!

6-7,000 showed up for the MarchforourLives rally, maybe more.

Maybe 150 gun supporters there today?

Re: “Walters: Thousands Attend March for Our Lives Rally in Montpelier

The picture is not photoshopped. I was there, on the steps, and have many pics from that position and the crowd was larger than 2500-easily. My pics don't show a 1/4 of the crowd and they still show more than 2500.
