Longtime local restaurateurs Jill and Adam Spell are launching Backyard Bistro with an American fusion menu nodding to their past restaurants. La Villa favorites will include the Smash Burger, Misty Knoll chicken with maple-bourbon sauce, and Fat Cow Farm Bolognese over housemade fettucine. Conch fritters, Cajun-spiced dishes and tropical cocktails will recall Auggie’s Island Grill. Specials like lobster boiled dinners and family brisket dinners will be offered, too. A tent behind the building will encourage outdoor eating, and there will be ticketed concerts that customers can hear while eating at reserved tables.
