Re: “Vermont Gas, Pipeline Foes Face Off at Public Service Board Session

So much for democracy when our Vermont PUBLIC Service Board bars the PUBLIC from a PUBLIC Hearing to please a foreign Corporation, Gaz Metro, is then ordered by a Federal court to open up for the public and then that Board rearranges the tables in the room so ONLY SIX members of the PUBLIC are allowed in and under ARMED GUARDS! Are they that afraid the public will tell the truth?

I am 73 years old and in ill health but have managed to attend most of the technical hearings before, never being anything but polite. But now being in an atmosphere of threat by gun in the hearing room so intimidates me I'm afraid I might be shot for just bending over to get a tissue from my purse. And then having to drive over 1and1/2 hours to try to get one of only six seats was just too much. I felt barred from my rights.

Vermont, once part of the land of the free, now takes peoples land for a foreign corporation's profit and muzzles the public with extremely limited access and the threat of guns. GOD BLESS VERMONT, we need it !
