I've been a Hoffer fan ever since the pivotal Job Gap Study, which changed the discourse forever on how much Vermont households need to earn to attain a very basic standard of living. His analyses are thoughtful, incisive, cogent, objective--and, importantly, compassionate where the needs and concerns of everyday Vermonters are involved. We're very lucky to have him where he is--he's perfect for the job of Auditor.
Nice sleuthing there, Ken Picard! I've often driven by there and wondered WTF was up with that structure. And occasionally fantasizing about its being rebuilt as a writers' retreat...
Re: “Grilling the Chef: Adam Woogmaster Talks Tacos and Food Trucks”
Adam's tacos are amazing and well worth a trip out Route 2, especially on a sunny day. Whatever you're thinking of paying, double it! His payment scheme is a genius mix of pure capitalism and socialism.
