Red Square — If you want to get picked up, you’ve gotta lie down — on the black and red couches outside of Red Square on Burlington’s Church Street Marketplace. Oh, if only you could — these couches are hard to snag on a summer Saturday night. Luckily, Red Square is a maze of opportunity for squeezing in and coupling up. You can belly up to the bar and sip a drink from a cocktail glass with a slinky, twisty stem. You can check out the scene in the alley, where live bands play on a raised stage. You can sit at a sidewalk table in the glow of the club’s little red lights and the delicious haze of grill smoke wafting from the nearby cheesesteak stand. And, if you can sneak past security, you and your newfound date can canoodle by the dumpsters.
