The Archives — With apologies to “Cheers,” sometimes you want to go where nobody knows your name — or at least where you can have a cocktail or three in relative peace all by your lonesome. It might seem counterintuitive that a lively vintage arcade bar is Seven Days readers’ go-to spot. But while gaming can be a social activity, burning through a roll of quarters on classics like Ms. Pac-Man or NBA Jam is also a fine and time-honored way to zone out. Add a dynamite draft list and hyper-creative cocktails, and the Archives single-handedly checks all the boxes for singletons. Ready player one, indeed.
