Bill McKibben’s 1989 book The End of Nature is known as the first book on climate change geared toward a general audience. Along with being a groundbreaking environmental writer, McKibben is cofounder of the grassroots climate change movement 350.org and scholar-in-residence in environmental studies at Middlebury College. The Right Livelihood Prize winner joins forces with Amy Goodman — host and executive producer of the independent news program “Democracy Now!” — for a dual appearance to address government policies and the changing environment. VIP ticketholders are granted access to a meet-and-greet with the speakers and a post-talk reception.
