“All I do is play music; I’m too lazy to work,” Jerron Paxton, aka Blind Boy Paxton, once told website the Country Blues. That may be true, but Paxton’s laziness doesn’t affect his proficiency on all manner of old-time instruments. Be it banjo, guitar, fiddle or accordion, the bluesman is a certified pro. His extensive catalog of early 20th-century tunes touches on myriad Americana styles, but primarily Delta blues and roots. And his stage name isn’t just a folksy moniker. Though he does retain some sight, Paxton is legally blind. Catch him on Saturday, September 22, at the Light Club Lamp Shop in Burlington.
