Re: “Got an Unwanted Tattoo? Call Don Baker

As the owner and founder of laser tattoo removal of Vermont and Vermont laser services, I would like to thank Ken Picard, Matthew Thorsen and Seven Days for offering your readership a glimpse inside our building adjacent to 189 with the sign " Laser Tattoo Removal of Vermont". The sign has certainly become a source of curiosity, smirks and often self-reflection. I would never have guessed four years ago that I'd be helping people in this manner. For my staff and myself it has been rewarding beyond our expectations. I want to thank every single patient who has offered us their confidence by allowing us to help them move from one phase of their life to the next. We are proud of what we do and take great joy in doing so.

The old saying "do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life" certainly applies!

Re: “Beloved Auto Repairman Pat McCaffrey Passes the Wrench

To reiterate: congratulations Pat, I'm jealous! Congratulations Brian! In 99% of the instances "an honest repair shop" is an oxymoron! I stumbled upon McCaffrey's while buying my daughter a used car through craigslist- a risky venture also 99% of the time. I Subsequently bought the Honda pilot from Brian - his wife's car, and have owned it for 3+ years. Every once in a while it has required minor repairs. A few times I brought it in with a rattle only to be sent on my way to assured that it was nothing and no charge for the diagnostic. I have brought my other vehicle in for repairs over the years as well and will continue to do so as I trust these guys- a rarity And I am as skeptical as they come. So when I saw the Brian had posted that Pat was retiring my heart sank momentarily, Mainly for myself but also for Brian, then I read further and discovered Brian had bought the business who Better to carry the torch! Whew, that was a close one. I can't necessarily say I'm looking forward to bring my car in again anytime soon but I'm glad to know that when I do with the exception of Pat not being there-did I mention I was jealous, the rest of the team will be there! OK Brian I think I earned a free oil change! Cheers!
