Re: “Walters: Trump Tax Changes Stump Vermont Analysts

Vermont Democrats heading up these tax committees have never seen tax reductions before, let alone thought about how they work. Shocking it must be for Ancel & Co.

Re: “Citibank Threatens to Sue Burlington If Council Picks KBTL

"The letter is just the latest setback for KBTL. The co-op inaccurately portrayed the terms of their loan in a final proposal the group submitted to the city last week." - Needs to be Game Over for co-op.

The combination of weak management, little access to capital and a bid $18M shy of a worthy competitor should be ample evidence Burlington has no business choosing the Co-op. Hold Ting or the other to accountability and community engagement, the City will have a stronger entity longterm.

Re: “Feds in Florida: Burlington College Probe Goes the Distance

That stiff arm Bernie has been giving Vermont press for years isn't helping the Sanders Family cause now. About time we got the spotlight shining on these do gooders.

Now about that lakefront 3rd home...

Re: “Rutland Mayor Says He Was 'Whooped' by Refugee Backlash

Louras downfall was simply his arrogance.

It started two years ago when he tried to jam reducing Rutland's critical Woodstock Ave from 4 lanes to 2. Massive outrage at Louras then and Rutland luckily survived retaining our four lanes, even as Louras did everything humanely possible to change the road against the will of virtually everyone in and around Rutland. Fast forward to the secretive Louras rollout of the refugee program, lining up his allies (Shumlin, Leahy, left leaning local biz leaders) to support the rollout, keeping those he didn't want to deal with including his Board of Alderman and Rutland citizens in the dark. You don't run a city this way and he deserved the ballot beatdown he received.

This is a tremendous lesson for our politicos, don't act like a King when you're a Mayor.

Re: “Vermont Legislators Admit to Cheating the System. Are They Justified?

Because Zuckerman is running for high office and he's ethically challenged to the core. Besides cheating taxpayers, he had to apologize for dissing our National Guard this week.

Character, it still counts folks.
