Local is Great!!
As I sit here and read these reviews, I can’t help but wonder if myself and these folks are even going to the same restaurant. I’ve been going to Mexicali now for nearly 7 years. And, yes, there have been many changes. Initially, mexicali was a place that provided great take out with only a few tables. Now, it’s a full fledged restaurant and bar that still provides great take out. The menu is the same as it has always been with very little change. Yes, maybe some of the prices have gone up, but look around folks, it‘s 2007 and the price on ‘everything’ has gone up. As far as the restaurant goes, my kids love it. It’s a must every time we go see a movie. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable which makes it great for everyone. On date night, me and my wife will grab a seat at the bar after our movie for a drink and some munchies. Love the local beer selection! And speaking of local, this isn’t a chain folks! The food isn’t cooked in a factory, taken out of a bag and reheated in a microwave. These people are preparing it everyday. GO HOMEMADE SALSAS!! As for the person who called this place a dump...who pee’d in your cornflakes. God bless the baja chicken deluxe, god bless the salsa bar! Food: 4 Ambiance: 4 Service: 5
