We're delighted to have you! BTV: The Burlington International Airport Quarterly is a bilingual magazine — translated into French for our Québécois visitors — that highlights Vermont's recreational, cultural and dining scenes according to the season.

Springtime in Vermont means that the snow is finally melting, and it's time to stop and smell the flowers. In this issue, we celebrate the glory of gardens by guiding you to blooms at local parks and an area art gallery. Want more fresh spring air? We'll point you in the right direction for outdoor adventures, from setting sail on Lake Champlain to biking through Burlington.

The fun doesn't stop at city limits. While you're here, set aside time to explore "Burlington's Brooklyn." That's one nickname for neighboring Winooski, a historic mill town now known for its beautiful riverfront boardwalk, circular downtown and hip nightlife.

Hungry after all that sightseeing? April's Vermont Restaurant Week brings 10 days of statewide dining deals that pair perfectly with excursions near and far. We'll tell you what's cookin' at, and around, three exciting eateries.

Read on for an itinerary of what to do, see and sample. If you're just passing through Vermont, we hope you'll be convinced to return for a longer stay. Use this magazine, too, as a guide to the airport and on-the-ground transportation options.

While you're waiting for takeoff, the Burlington International Airport aims to make your stay a pleasant one. Please have a look around and enjoy its amenities and services, including a yoga space, breastfeeding rooms, charging stations, free Wi-Fi and local art. Locavore crêperie the Skinny Pancake has café locations before and after security to keep you happily fed whether you're coming or going.

We thank you for flying BTV and hope you'll come back to see us soon. Let the beautiful city of Burlington and state of Vermont amaze you.

  • Explore Hidden Wilderness Along the Burlington Wildways

You might not realize it from the hustle and bustle of downtown, the postwar suburban sprawl of the New North End, or the hip postindustrial South End, but Burlington is pretty wild. Like, Henry David Thoreau/Walden Woods kind of wild. Despite its urban trappings, Vermont's largest city hides a treasure trove of natural wonders. The trick is knowing where to find them.

  • Get a Taste of Vermont at the Burlington Farmers Market

"Farmers market" and "Vermont" are basically synonyms, right? The Green Mountain State is known for its cheese, its maple and its dedication to local food. And in Vermont's largest city, the Burlington Farmers Market is a community fixture. A trip to the market is a weekend ritual all season long.
