1/3/09: Farmers markets are not just for summer anymore. Winter markets are sprouting up all over Vermont this year.
Champlain Islands Farmers Market is a group of farmers, gardeners, crafters, artisans and bakers who have been selling their goods together for 4 years. This is their first season of winter markets and you might be surprised by their wide selection of tasty and colorful offerings.
It's definitely worth a trip out to the islands for Sophie's fresh buttermilk donuts, Sylvie's homemade soap and Jennifer's delectable sandwiches.
