A nice experience
We recently brought some friends to the Blue Paddle (we're always raving about it). The entire dining experience was very nice. Our food was interesting and quite good (my coffee crusted pork tenderloin was especially delicious).
We did want to comment on a few things 1) the downstairs can be noisy, and it was hard to have a conversation with our friends; 2) there are very few vegetarian options; 3) it would be nice if the food was a bit more seasonal, local, as so many of the nice restaurants in the area are.
That being said, we had quite a nice evening at The Blue Paddle and enjoyed their food. The wine was delicious and the chocolate lava cake is always a hit. We will be back for sure.

Love the Blue Cat
We've been to the Blue Cat at Lawson Lane a few times (most recently on 10/16/2009) and we continue to be impressed. The food is delicious, especially the steaks. The service is good...Ozzie and the waitstaff remembered us (good or bad? not sure!). They have a lengthy wine list that we've found some good bottles on (though pricey). And the Kiwi Bomb cocktails are deadly & scrumptious.
It's a fun place to bring friends. We'll definitely be back.

Enjoyable experience
We've eaten at One Federal many times since it opened and it feels like they are definitely working out the kinks. The food is always good portioned, good tasting and filling. My Cobb salad was delicious and I had leftovers to bring home. My husband's meatloaf was delicious to me, he didn't enjoy it quite as much (he wanted my salad!)...we were happy to share and bring home leftovers. As always, the sides were excellent.
Service was very good. And the price is certainly right. Two entrees, two beers, two glasses of wine and dessert for one (flourless chocolate torte....yummy!) for $50.
I love the ambiance as well. The room with the booths is my favorite.
We'll definitely be back again.

Re: “Church & Main”
Church & Main...delicious
We went to Church & Main with some friends last night and all of us were pleasantly surprised at the food...it was quite good, with larger portions than we had anticipated. From salads to apps to entree and desserts, there were only hits and no misses for us. The white cosmo was the best cosmo I've had in ages (and blew away the one I had later at Bangkok Bistro). The chocolate flourless cake was a huge hit as well. My steak was delicious, perfectly rare and served over (not many) asparagus spears, tasty mashed potatoes and seriously good onions. I had the house salad, which was a bit overdressed for my liking, but interesting and tasty. The prices are just a tad high it seems. We were all glad we didn't get that table that sits right by the server station! We were all pleased with the meal, but at the high prices, doubt it will become a go-to place for us.
