Re: “Ellen Powell

Sometimes it's a toss up to figure out what Ellen's best at. She's always been one of the best bass players and teachers and now we are even more generously blessed with her eye for composition and her fluid style behind the lens.

Re: “North Avenue Bike Lane Survey Leads to Controversy

Kurt Wright and the rest would not be crying if the results went their way. He is possibly the most self-centered, obstructionist person ever to be involved in Burlington politics. Grow up Kurt, the world does not revolve around you and the rest of your NIMBY cronies.

Re: “Cop on the Tweet: Chief's Social Media Posts Draw Criticism

I agree with Haik Bedrosian that once an official uses an individual's social media account to challenge them, they have crossed the boundary of professionalism and are, in essence, no better than the Twit In Chief in the White House.

Re: “Burlington Bike Path Construction to Begin as Summer Season Starts

This does not appear to be well thought out. Evidently bike riders do not contribute as much to Miro "Boy Wonder" Weinburger's campaign fund as developers do, hence the insane idea that dumping bike riding tourists onto North Ave. at the height of the summer riding season is a good thing. What a monument to stupidity.

Re: “As Scott Threatens Veto, Vermont Budget Faces Uncertain Future

The Trumpification of Vermont. Phil Scott likes to go round and round in circles, banging fenders and pushing others off the track, a petrol wasting, ego driven motorhead in the Governor's office when we need someone who is able to stand up for the real taxpayers who are suffering because of the greed and arrogance of the top wealth hoarders. If he had any courage, he would tell the national GOP that it's time for the 1% to pay its fair share of the burden and to stop cutting funds for essential services like health care, education and feeding people.

Re: “Montpeculiar: Rain, Not Politics, Postpones Governor's Racing Debut

And how much extra in security does it cost the tax-payers of Vermont for Governor "Vroom-vroom" Scott to waste gas in a polluting, noisy "sport" that harms the environment and appeals to a relatively small percentage of our citizenry? For someone who preaches "fiscal responsibility" to frivolously put himself and others at the risk of injury or worse is narcissistic and puerile. Grow up Scotty, playing with toys at our expense is something we'd expect from Trump. Stop emulating him, it doesn't look good.

Re: “Burlington Town Center Project Gets the Green Light

The scale of the project is completely out of character for Burlington. The hard-sell approach that Miro "Wonder Boy" Weinberger, Don Sinex and their cohorts have taken is arrogant, myopic and supports the idea that his and their interests are not with the people of Burlington, but are part of a mentality that would develop first and think about the ramifications of their grandiosity and greed later, if ever.

Re: “In Referendum on Refugees, Rutland Mayor Loses Reelection Bid

Xenophobia and ignorance go hand in hand in the ghetto that calls itself Rutland.
