Just imagine the wonderful, hard working Yankee Vermonters of 1957 being shown a motion picture of clips of Vermont today in 2017 complete with news headlines and footage. They would be so glad to see their values were thrown under the bus when the trust fund neo-Bolsheviks moved in and turned their beloved Green Mountains into the rainbow colored cultural Marxist mud-puddle of crime and drugs it is today. But at least Black people can stay in motels now....
This is the dumbest article I have read in a long day of reading dumb articles.
Wow a good idea for once - and from a 'progressive!' One can imagine a day when this whole catastrophic drug prohibition business has finally been read its Last Rites. No more massive profits for gangsters and dirty cops and rubber-stamping, beetle headed judges. No more warehousing non-violent drug offenders in for-profit private prisons. No more militarized police kicking in doors and gunning down family pet dogs, pregnant women etc. We can trade all that in for humane treatment policies any time we gather the mindfulness to realize what a disaster the way we do things now has been. And if people still want to get high they can do it safely, in their own homes or in a supervised setting such as that proposed here. Wow!
sevendaysvt is a lefty mouthpiece and propaganda asset of the local lefty government and it is for this reason that sevendaysvt silences dissenting voices on its comment threads
The ghosts of Wayne Brunette and Phil Grenin howl in the cold winter winds as they blow through these once Free and Proud Green Mountains on this cold, dark, icy night....can you hear them?
Never before has a more prolific supporter and suborner of perjury under color of authority and other police misconduct ever risen to the vaunted heights of the Office of the Attorney General of Vermont....except for William Sorrell, of course....
