Re: “Color Consultant Betsey Dempsey Finds the Perfect Paint

Unless you have worked with a color consultant before, you may read this article and think, "why would I pay someone to bring me a few swatches from the paint store?" I've been there and a good consultant is totally worth the money. If you are hiring a professional to paint your interiors, you may even save money because you won't be paying them to come back to redo the job two or three times when you realize you can't stand the colors you picked out yourself. We used a consultant for three rooms in our house and 10 years later we still love the way they look. It was a good investment.

Re: “Some of Vermont's Highest-Paid Execs Run Nonprofits

Read your hospital bill. When you get charged $20 for two Ibuprofen, $250 for an IV bag or $600 for a doctor you don't remember seeing, that money is going to line the pockets of the hospital administrators. Look at the luxury cars parked in the hospital employees parking lot and ask yourself, do these people really need the money more than me?

Re: “Street Artist KASSO Paints Black History at Middlebury College

"When you walk around [campus] and every oil painting is a white man," Herrera Condry said during a recent visit, "that has an impact."

The oil paintings she is referring to depict the founders, presidents and benefactors of the college. Without them, Middlebury would not be able to underwrite such projects as the Anderson Freeman Resource Center.

Re: “Walters: Tensions High at Lake Carmi Meeting

One way to deal with this problem is to put pressure on the companies that buy milk from the dairy farms that pollute the lake.
