Re: “Correct Change? Green Mountain Transit Rolls Out New Routes, Apps

Perhaps Gigrape should look at the VTrans report on the balance sheets for bus service in VT:
https://vtrans.vermont.gov/sites/aot/files…

Bus routes are being subsidized already but I guess that is ok when it is everybody else's money?

Re: “Burlington City Councilor Hired to Lead BTV Ignite

Northoldender, BTV had its chance to own the BTelecom and they lied, stole money, and created the problem. Miro improved the situation since the prior administration could not run it

Re: “As the VTGOP Sputters, Franklin County Republicans Build a Base

jimbolint, you are comparing democrats from an earlier era to the current trend. Democrats have not always been so liberal. JFK would be considered a Republican today- he was a fiscal conservative by any way you view his policies. Even the Liberal Lion of the Senate would not pass the current democrat litmus test. Teddy Kennedy was concerned with doing the right thing for the people not the our way or the highway approach the current democrats are taking

Re: “Long Lines, Missed Flights: Airport Rush Hour Prompts Reconfiguration of TSA Access

B. Alan You can complain all you want about the full body scanners but to some of us they are a better means of being screened. Try going through your regular scanning process with an artificial joint and having to go through the extra screening each time. There are positives for full body scanners and IF the passengers follow the rules they do not slow you down.

Re: “An F-35 Preview Shakes Up Winooski

The comment:
"The most common response residents who complain about the noise get from others is that they should have known when they bought their house. Arizona law requires sellers to disclose when a property is located around a military airport. But some long-term residents say they didn't know the F-35s were coming when they bought their house, and they didn't know the noise would get louder, more frequent, and later at night." is a typical NIMBY ism. It is a military air base. Did they think there would be no changes or airplanes would not get upgraded? It is the same as people who buy homes near gun clubs or farms and then complain they did not know it would be noisy or smelly.

Re: “Dissension in the Ranks: Legislative Failures Spark Reaction on the Left

Here is a suggestion to the democratic party. Stop allowing progressives to deceive and run as Democrats. Do the Progs allow Democrats to run? No but the Dems are so hungry to pander for votes they will do anything for votes whether it is the right thing or not. And It appears some members voted for what their constituents wanted, not what the Party wanted. That is the way it should be.

Re: “Green Mountain Transit: Driver Broke Protocol, but Actions Weren't Race-Based

There is another point here that seems to be evident from the descriptions of the videos as reported:
The children were misbehaving and should be treated as such. I know when I rode the bus to high school there were 2 nights the driver pulled over for almost an hour until the principal showed up. 4 of the 5 that caused trouble did not afterward due to their parents correcting their behavior.
Our kids were always well behaved because we did not accept behavior like this, if they did misbehave they knew their would be consequences.
