Ridiculous that every year teachers unions hold parents and kids hostage for more and more increases that are not available to any other civil workforce including the state whose workers receive less than half of the yearly cola increases teachers do in most districts lower pay and no summers off. Property taxes are forcing people from their homes and the solution is to dump more into education budgets to prepare kids for what?.... to leave the State and get a job elsewhere because nobody can afford to live here after they graduate because of the tax burden. Or, take advantage of the overly generous welfare system and live for free... and who pays for that? The disappearing working class. Rinse, repeat, age....
