Re: “Couple Plans to Build a House on Burlington's Steep Depot Street

Not only not affordable, but not such a great place to live either. (The neighbors can be a little snarky)

Re: “Walters: Former Sanders Adviser Named in Manafort Trial Documents

I think that the high end money crap in politics sucks. These guys are out to make money, and none seem to care where the money comes from. How about we have minimum wage paid to ALL politians. Then you know its because they WANT to serve the people and as an added bonus, you probably wouldnt have to worry about term limits.

Re: “Utah Millionaire Abandons Plan for Futuristic Community in Vermont

My suggestion is that human beings start eating from garbage cans and let the bears and skunks and raccoons do the thinking, they are better suited to it.

Re: “Burlington Officials Lay Out Vision for Memorial Auditorium Process

One thing is sure, it costs a great deal more to bring things back than to maintain (whether its a person, a building or a car) Sitting empty and idle does no good what so ever, so make a freakin decision and move on. Personally, I like old buildings. In the US we love to tear things down and build new and shiny, but I dont think that makes it better. I am not from Burlington, so my opinion doesnt count, not that opinions really carry much weight these days anyway, unless they are the right opinions, But I also have memories from Memorial Auditorium, when my son turned 15 we saw Slayer there, and when my daughter turned 15 we saw. Skid Row. We saw Metallica at the fair grounds, but they played Memorial also, so for an old gray auntie, she rocked. ( seven days story from 1993) What will happen, will happen of course......progress is what they call it. But I like the vitality and vibe from cities that have the very, very old along side the very, very new: a timeless stage on which to act.

Re: “Franklin County Gunmaker Lobbies Against Magazine Capacity Limits

My train of thought runs.....why are the pro-gun defender of the second amendment ever as supportive of the first?
