Re: “Former Burlington College President Unloads on Board, Jane Sanders

While all this may be true, Jane's proposal could also be seen as visionary. If the Board, faculty and administration had embraced the opportunity to build on this admittedly gorgeous location, by creating the kind of curriculum that matched, they may have survived. Initially, the school seemed to position itself in a unique niche, by developing it's film/media program. This would have been before Champlain College's expansion. Those administrators led at the time by Christine Plunkett who were responsible for curriculum lacked the knowledge, vision and experience to add the content, the real meat to a program that may actually have enticed students to enroll. There is a lot of blame to go around.

Re: “When Should Parents Start Discussing Sex with Their Kids?

Cindy, love your realistic approach. I was a child of the 50's, which some folks imagine as being a time of innocence and purity. What a bunch of bull-dicky. We didn't have the internet but there were books and magazines and our own curiosity. What is it that causes sexual amnesia when people become parents? We are born sexual creatures. How we direct that energy has a lot to do with the kind of person we become.

Re: “In Robocall, White Nationalist Calls on Vermonters to Back Trump

What a nut. His rambling monologue was incomprehensible. How anyone could be influenced by this diatribe is a mystery to me.

Re: “Bernie Bits: CNN Calls It the 'Summer of Sanders'

Looks like the old trolls of the Republican Party are out in force. You recognize them by their weird, fake photo avatars (usually some stock photo of an attractive woman), and their totally inane comments.

Re: “Art Review: 'Staring Back,' Fleming Museum

Great review by Kevin Kelley. After getting over my annoyance at what seemed to be a "bait and switch" trick by the Fleming (not having the actual Picasso painting on view), I came to appreciate Janie Cohen's attempt to creatively re-envision exhibition design.
