Re: “Walters: Team Scott Turns Up the Heat on Lawmakers

Getting tired of Scott's attacks on education and teachers. I feel like he got lots of bad grades when he was in school and didn't think he deserved them, so now he's trying to get even or something. The changes to educators' insurance policies were onerous, and health care professionals and facilities around the state are still waiting to get paid for services rendered; all brought to you by the man in the governor's chair...

Re: “Welch: Trump Should Be Impeached If He Fires Mueller

I absolutely agree with Representative Welch. Obstruction of justice is an impeachable offense!

Re: “In Budget Address, Scott Pitches School Spending Freeze

His comparison of teachers to "state workers" lacks credibility. Teachers gave up much in order to keep their health care benefits with only small increases in copays and deductibles. Now they're being asked to give up more, and get nothing in return.
The so-called "rule of 90" (where a teacher's age plus years of service have to add up to 90 before they can retire) added years to their public service (it used to be that they could retire after 30 years, period). They gained insurance for spouses, after retirement.
This single change has most likely added cost to school budgets, since it means keeping on teachers at the upper end of the pay scale instead of hiring newly minted teachers, who start out at the low end. Now this, which combines with additional attempts to decrease health benefits.

Re: “Howard Dean Drops Bid for DNC Chairmanship

Howard's 50-state strategy was sorely missed over the years since his leaving this post. I love Obama, but his decision not to support Dean or enlist him in his cabinet really rankles me; we lost the man who knew how to fight the good fight, and gained the woman who did not know how to run the DNC. I like Wasserman-Schultz, don't get me wrong; but her leadership was not what Howard's was, when he was chair.

Re: “Sanders Spreads Support, but Not in Vermont's Gubernatorial Race

Dunne implied through this mailing that Bernie had endorsed him. I want nothing to do with the guy now. It's as deceptive as can be...
