The Queen City’s littlest readers foster a love for literature while learning a bit about gender fluidity during a special story time at Burlington’s Fletcher Free Library. Drag Queen Story Hour, created by Michelle Tea and San Francisco nonprofit RADAR Productions, aims to provide budding bookworms with positive queer role models. Vermont drag queens Emoji Nightmare and Nikki Champagne (also known as Justin Marsh and Taylor Small) captivate kiddos on Saturday with age-appropriate stories focused on individuality, activism, creativity, expression and social responsibility.
