Re: “Vermont Legislators Admit to Cheating the System. Are They Justified?

Well . let`s look again at New Hampshire with over 1 million people to legislate for. They believe that no one serving as a legislator should take money out of their pocket to serve the people.. They reinburse for all out of pocket expenses but require receiptsfor all expenses. They have a lower base pay but don`t hang arround in Concord dreaming up new ways to burden their constituent. Get in,do the work, get out. Somewhere in the 120 day period. Vermont with over 320 bills proposed and about 18 passed? Shorten the session and reg people could serve again.

Re: “Gun Groups Expect Vigorous Debate in Vermont Elections

The issue of background checks meets opposition for one simple fact. What guarantee do people have where their personal information goes or is held? Big brother and historically other tyrants through out the world have used the information to take over and destroy millions of people.. The answer from all citizens should be a resounding, NO ! As a added note, Why Vermont has such a good record of crime with fire arms is the fact that to commit a crime here in Vermont could end one`s criminal career very quickly. Not a bad success story!

Re: “Matt Dunne Castigates Phil Scott Over Syrian Refugee Comments

The issue is not wether the immigrants of today are here to blow us up or live in harmony but can we afford it. That answer is no. In every sector here in Vermont we are hurting and the added burden will be too much for the people who are struggling at present. Sorry but the answer is no !

Re: “Lawmakers Go For Gun Suppressors

Rifle ranges and sportsman`s clubs historically were located in rural areas but like the pig farmer, people moved into the area and now the pig farmer is under question for the farming odors and the ranges for the sounds of shooting events. The adaption of sound suppression devices wether by legislative or any other means is worthy time and effort spent.. Give me a few minutes for the deference of the pig farmer~
