I missed this announcement in the Free Press yesterday:
Beginning Monday, Aug. 11, the daily cover price of The Burlington FreePress sold in stores and newspapers vending machines will change from50 cents to 75 cents a copy.
The Sunday cover price for single copy of $1.75 will not change.
The rate hike hasn't generated any comments yet on the BFP website, but it's spawned a lively little converation over on Gannett Blog. I saw GB's post linked on Romenesko, and thought I'd post it here for the local audience.
Not sure how I feel about the increase. It doesn't affect me, since I don't buy the Free Press. We have a subscription here in the office, but I'm more of an online reader myself.
