Get an Eyeful of our "Hot Shots"

Published July 14, 2008 at 7:25 p.m.

For some of us, looking at a sensual portrayal of an asparagus spear or a chocolate confection can be just as enticing as images of "beefcakes" and "cheesecakes," as poster men and women used to be called.

That's why we recently decided to run our first food-filled "Hot Shots" photography contest. Anybody in the 7 Nights Bite Club -- which includes folks who have registered to comment on our online dining guide -- was eligible.

We received 75 tasty pics and selected our ten favorites, based on artistic merit, to post on the web. We have three prizes to award, and anybody can vote for their fave, so head on over and check them out...

Wanna be included next time? Stop by 7 Nights and sign up!

While we've appreciated the suggestions and insights, right now Seven Days is prioritizing our core mission — producing high-quality, responsible local journalism — over moderating online debates between readers.

To criticize, correct or praise our reporting, please send us a letter to the editor or send us a tip. We’ll check it out and report the results.
