Seven Days needs your financial support!

GlobalClassroom is a company with a mission: to increase educational opportunities for students everywhere by moving learning online. Created in partnership with professors, teachers and subject-matter experts, the Burlington-based company is currently focused on the following areas of development:

  • providing teachers, professors and subject experts with the online tools and support to deliver educational courses to students worldwide;
  • a social network of students, teachers and adult learners who want access to education and top educators across the globe;
  • providing students with online tools via a personal portfolio to manage their education requirements and to document their accomplishments as a college or career-bound student.

Additionally, utilizing open-source software, GlobalClassroom has created the first national online learning platform that is freely accessible to any teacher or student. Teachers throughout Vermont, the U.S. and the world can easily create and deliver educational content online, at no charge. The company is actively seeking teachers from all states and at all levels to build content that can be delivered through GlobalClassroom's course catalogues.
