Re: “Rutland Mayor Says He Was 'Whooped' by Refugee Backlash

Louras was the best thing Rutland had going for it. I can't think of single reason why a young family would move to Rutland.

Re: “The Calm and the Storm: After Break, Lawmakers to Tackle Budget

Strange bed fellows here. Anti-winders defending the monopoly that the FAA and VT National Guard have over our collective skies so that they can keep spreading chemtrails over VT society.

Wake up Sheeple!!

Re: “Public Service Board Proposes Stricter Wind Regulations

We talk all this pie in the sky rhetoric of 90% by 2050, but how do you think we're going to get there? Not rooftop solar, we'd need to build a tens of thousands of new homes for that. Wind is a crucial part of that mix, and utility scale wind offers a HUGE chunk.

I hope all of you who will applaud this are thinking critically about our planet. We're going to need to build a lot more solar to reach 90% by 2050 and we're seriously hampering ourselves, as a state, by enacting this de facto ban on wind power.

Re: “Walters: Scott’s Customer-First Environmental Stewardship

Thank god Annette Smith is on the case. But, true to form, no argument about political cronyism and the environment is complete without some mention of the whirly wigs that destroy our "sacred ridgelines," ruin peoples sleep, kills dogs, allowed the Russians to hack the utility grid, and I'm sure that in a few month we're going to be hearing that wind turbines actually CAUSE global warming.

Re: “Vail to Purchase Stowe Mountain Resort for $50 Million

Vail is a soulless monopoly that gobbles up ski areas and turns them into bougie, glitzy resorts whilst simultaneously ruining the local ski culture and hurting the local economy. But, then again the previous owners, AIG, played a pretty big part in ruining the entire economy.

Re: “Legislative Roomies Share Boxed Wine and Political Strategies

Some legislators share boxed wind and political strategies, other legislators are so out of tune with their living space that they see no problem with a very old man sharing a room with an extremely younger woman.

Seriously? All of this fraternization and Vermonters are supposed to believe that nothing was fishy for Norm McCallister's housemates?

Folks are different I guess.

Re: “New Pot Plan: Legalization Lite

We need to find millions of dollars to clean up Lake Champlain, and VT is thinking about passing decriminalization 2.0?! This bill would be aptly called: The Small-Time Drug Dealer Empowerment Act, because that is what it would do. Legal marijuana with no tax revenue and no above ground market, sounds great!

This is certainly one way to keep young people in our state. This bill would carve out a nice niche market for the small-time drug dealer. This bill addresses the negatives of criminalization without implementing the positive aspects of legalization: tax revenue, educational awareness, funding highway safety.

I'd be willing to bet that most people wouldn't mind paying a few extra dollars for an oz of marijuana if they knew that money would be going towards something good for the state. I am a strong supporter of marijuana LEGALIZATION, not decriminalization, and definitely not this Small-Time Drug Dealer Empowerment Act.
