Re: “Essex Grill Reopens as Railroad & Main

Hi xmasboyvt, thank you for your comment. The restaurant is located at 35 Main Street. The Maple Street address may be a mailing address, etc., but it's not the restaurant's physical location.

Re: “Esperanza Restaurante to Meld Filipino and Salvadoran

Hi Matthew,

When we write about restaurants that haven't opened yet, it's called PREVIEW. Many of our readers like to know what's coming up in the local restaurant scene so they can check out new places when they open.

All best,
Hannah

Re: “Inside the von Trapp Bierhall, Soft-Opening September 15

Beth Dixon, I'm sorry if my word choice offended! I didn't mean to describe the resort in a negative way, but as "traditional, old-fashioned, of an earlier time/place," to frame the new place as a contrast to the old. I have incredible respect for the von Trapps and their business(es) and no reason to portray what they do in an unfavorable light.

Re: “Sugar High! Flambé Bombe at ¡Duino! (Duende)

Hi UglyTown,

No reviews this week. But regarding your original assertion that we haven't published an "actual restaurant review" in "weeks," please note my story in last week's paper, in which I reviewed Cornerstone Burger Co. in Northfield.

If there's a place that opened in the last few months that you'd like us to consider for review in an upcoming issue, please let us know ([email protected]). Thank you!

Re: “Grand Opening for Cornerstone Burger in Northfield

Hi Jill!

Cornerstone's owners also own the Two Loco Guys burrito shop in downtown Barre.

Thanks for commenting!

Re: “Switchback Brewing to Offer Six-Packs

JC123, Thank you for your note — and for keeping me honest! You are of course right that Magic Hat opened in the South End, long before Switchback existed. However, Magic Hat has been a South Burlington institution for most of its 20-odd years in business, and Switchback is by far the longest-standing brewery in that area now.

As for Full Sail — whoops! I see their long-neck bottles everywhere, but never noticed the shorties and it's always wise to check when someone says they're the "first" to do anything.

Anyway, we appreciate the feedback and we’ve corrected the errors in the story online. Thank you!

Re: “Peacham Café

Duly noted, Crystal; we've updated our listing to reflect those hours. If the changes are not showing up, just refresh the page. Thank you!
