Re: “At UVM, a Grad Student Masters Poutine

Interesting article, but Americans need to know how to speak the word "poutine." It is pronounced "pute-zin" in Quebec. Not "Pu-tine" with the emphasis on the "tine" as in Vermont and elsewhere.

Re: “Joke of the Week: Post-Triscuital Bliss

Not funny, again. That's two bombs in a row!

Re: “5-Oh! Pizzeria Moves to Bradford

Good luck in Bradford, Jim. However, "the larger, well equipped kitchen" is a joke as the space has failed repeatedly, and a large part of the problem is the landlord and the poor state of the kitchen. While the location has some appeal, three pizza joints in a row, including the well established Colatina Exit and Bliss Village Store don't bode well for 5 O!

Re: “Dining on a Dime: Pho Taó Vietnamese Restaurant

Cheap food is good, I guess, but what about its sources, al a last week's article on sustainability and food ethics highlighted?

Re: “Gaku Ramen

Visited for lunch last week. Ordered the tonkatsu ramen...was disappointed in the broth I expected a deep, rich pork broth, but found what I was served as shallow, and perhaps too miso-ie, my egg was overcooked and the chashu pork lacked flavor. Not what I was led to believe I'd find here.

Also, while they advertise as an ideal spot for a cheap meal, we had the cucumber salad, i Fiddlehead, a cup of tea and two ramens and the bill was $36. 'nuff said.
