International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 300 

Chartered in 1939, IBEW Local 300 is a labor union that serves 1200-plus working Vermonters at some of the state's most successful businesses, including American Electric, Ben and Jerry's, Brown Electric, Burlington Electric Department, Central Vermont Public Service, Century Electric, Entergy-Vermont Yankee, E.S. Boulos, Green Mountain Power, Peck Electric, Sherwin Electric, Vermont Electric Cooperative, Vermont Gas, Washington Electric Cooperative and several municipalities. Local 300 members earn a living wage, healthcare coverage and best-in-class retirement benefits.

IBEW Local 300 also hosts a renowned electrical apprenticeship and the state’s first solar photovoltaic training program for electricians, both administered by the Vermont Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee. Local 300 is a member of Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility, the Vermont Building and Construction Trades Council, the Vermont Workforce Development Council, the Vermont Workers' Center and the Lake Champlain Region Workforce Investment Board. These affiliations are testament to the union’s unwavering commitment to fostering an economy that works for everyone.
