How can he speak if he's in prison???
We will be doing more artwork/writing projects next summer. This summer was an experiment, and needs fine tuning, which we are giving it. Thanks for the great story!
Just wanted to mention that my cousin, Robin Fiske, lives at Quarry Hill, too, and my children and niece and nephew visit quite often. Thanks for the nice article.
Thanks for the nice story on my mother, Isabelle (Barbara) Calhoun. She was something else.
Re: “New Artist Residency Program Launched at Quarry Hill”
Our present plan is to expand the return to an artist's colony/ retreat in the next few years.
Beyond the "Isolated Arts" program we have come to the conclusion that QH is at its best when focused on its original intention: to be a place where artists, writers, musicians freethinkers will be able to pursue their inclinations.
The idea is that artists would buy into a nonprofit corporation and have a dwelling on the place in which to live and do their work. We hope to see the new phase of Quarry Hill implemented soon. This year was our 70th anniversary, a good time to make plans for the next 70 years. More will be announced on this plan in the near future.
